New Service

For on-site payments for sanitation or establishing sanitation services, residents are encouraged to go to City Hall, 4483 Pineview Drive. Once the deposit has been paid, City Hall will generate a work order for the Sanitation Department to deliver your cart. This process usually takes 3 to 5 working days depending on workload, holidays, etc. Garbage charges will appear on your quarterly bill. 

If it is not convenient to apply in person, the attached Service Application for Trash and Streetlights (PDF) may be printed, filled out, and emailed to UBClerk@powderspringsga.gov.  Please note: the application has a list of documents that need to be sent with the signed application. The $75 deposit will be added to the customer’s first quarterly bill. Once you have emailed your documents, you will hear back within 48 business hours with your new account number and other necessary information. If you do not receive an email, give us a call.

If a 95-gallon container is not sufficient for your volume of trash, you may request a second cart. The applicable fees for this are an additional $60 cart deposit and an additional $5 charge on your quarterly garbage bill.

  • Quarterly rate for City residents - $102*
  • Quarterly rate for County residents - $108
  • Quarterly rate for City residents 65 and over - $68.25*
  • Additional quarterly rate for optional 2nd cart - $15
  • Cart replacement fee - $75

*NOTE:  A quarterly rate of $16.50 is added to all City resident bills for City streetlight upkeep and operation.

Additional fees may be added without prior notification to any account not paid by posted due date.
