Special & Bulk Items

For a fee, the Sanitation Department will collect large household items such as furniture and appliances. You must call the Sanitation Department at 770-943-8010 to arrange for bulk pick up or request bulk pick up via the online form. Items will be picked up on your next regularly scheduled collection day. Please call no later than 24 business hours before to arrange for a work order to be made. Items out for pick up without a work order will be left at the curb.
 
Special and bulk items typically include things such as couches, bedding, television sets, swing sets (no wooden swing sets), exercise equipment, basketball goals, refrigerators, freezers, washers, dryers, and hot water heaters.
 
Swing sets (no wooden swing sets), trampolines, and basketball goals must be disassembled. Refrigerators and freezers must be empty of liquids and food. For safety precautions, doors must be removed from appliances.

Bulk Trash Charges

Prices are per item. No more than 2 appliances or 4 furniture items will be picked up per week.

• Additional Bags/Boxes (13 gal bag, small box - limit 10) - $1 per bag and $1 per box
• Additional Bags/Boxes (32 gal bag, large box - limit 10) - $4 for the first large bag/box, $1 each additional bag/box
• Chairs - $15 (small), $25 (upholstered)
• Dryers - $35
• Grills - $10 (small), $25 (large)
• Hot Water Heaters - $35
• Mattresses - $35
• Box Springs - $35
• Refrigerators - $50
• Sofas - $30
• Recliners - $30
• Stoves - $35
• Television sets 30" and under - $10
• Television sets 30" - 49" - $30
• Television 50" and larger - $40
• Washers - $35

*Smaller bulk items may be charged a minimum $10 or higher each, depending upon item.
